JD.com is expanding its use of artificial intelligence and robotics across its logistics network as part of a new Physical AI Acceleration Plan. This move aims to further integrate technology into the company's delivery ecosystems globally, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Under the plan, JD Logistics has set out a five-year target to acquire 3 million robots, with the goal of deploying them across its logistics infrastructure. Additionally, the company plans to procure 1 million autonomous vehicles by the end of the decade, as well as 100,000 delivery drones. These initiatives are part of an effort to transform JD.com into a more automated and efficient logistics provider.
In support of these goals, JD Logistics has also launched the Industrial Wolf Robot series, designed specifically for warehouse and distribution environments. The robots are equipped with advanced AI capabilities and are intended to enhance productivity and accuracy within JD.com's operations. With this expansion of its physical AI presence, JD.com is poised to revolutionize the delivery ecosystems worldwide, as it continues to push the boundaries of logistics innovation.
